Stolen Children By: PEG KEHRET

Imagine you’re a 14 year old girl named Amy and you get called up to the office getting told that your father has sadly passed away in a car accident. Later Amy get a call from Mrs. Edgerton asking for a babysitter to babysit her daughter named Kendra who is three years old because Mrs. Edgerton’s mom had an injury. Wants Amy gets there she gets an assignment to give Kendra Ice cream and lay her down for a nap. When Amy lays down, Kendra Amy goes to the backyard by the pool. When she went to the chair she accidentally fell asleep. When she had woken up, she had quickly realized that it’s been a couple of hours since she had laid Kendra down. Amy had quickly ran up to Kendra’s room to see if she was there but there in her room Kendra was not there. After frantically looking through the whole house for her. She had realized that the door had been unlocked. Smokey and Hugh (kidnappers) Had taken Kendra but had to go back to the house because Kendra needed her favorite stuffed animal. When they come back Amy realizes and thinks it a good Idea to help out but turns out that  Amy had gotten kidnapped too and their plan had not worked. Will Kendra and Amy have another plan to escape from Hugh and Smokey? If so, will they get back to safety and who will help them get back home?

If you liked the book Stolen Children by Peg Kehret you would like the book The Abduction  by John Grisham and Theodore Boone. The Abduction is about a girl named April and her parents are not the best parents they don’t really care for her and rarely home. Then, one night she unexpectedly vanisheds. These stories both connect because in the book Stolen Children and Abduction the main characters had been taken or someone in their life had been taken away. How will the characters that had been missing someone in their life for a period of time affect the way they act when they reunite with their family members again (if they do).
